Uptrace gives us full visibility into our services without the complexity. As an SRE, I need reliable tracing and metrics — Uptrace delivers both with a clean OpenTelemetry-native setup.

Krishna Gangaraju
Site Reliability Engineer, Performio

We evaluated several observability platforms and Uptrace stood out for its straightforward pricing and solid performance. It handles our distributed architecture without breaking a sweat.

Radoslav Kirilov
Senior Solutions Architect, Corva

Setting up Uptrace took us less than a day. The OpenTelemetry integration is seamless, and we finally have clear insights into our backend performance without overcomplicating our stack.

Why Uptrace pricing is different

Predictable bills, not ingestion taxes

Self-hosted Uptrace charges by edition, not by gigabyte. Your bill doesn't grow with your traffic.

No per-GB pricing

Pay a flat edition fee. Ingest as much telemetry as your usage tier allows without watching the meter.

Clear usage tiers

Each plan has explicit daily ingest and metric limits. No fine print, no overage emails on the 28th.

Your infrastructure

Self-hosted on your servers. Telemetry stays in your network, ideal for compliance and air-gapped setups.

No surprise bills

Lock in your edition for the year. Upgrade or downgrade when it makes sense — never because of a traffic spike.

FAQ

Common questions, clear answers

Do you charge for data ingestion?

No. Self-hosted Uptrace uses flat edition pricing with included daily usage tiers. Your bill does not grow with every gigabyte you ingest.

How are daily usage limits enforced?

Daily limits are measured as a 30-day rolling average, not a hard daily cap. Short spikes are absorbed; only sustained usage above your tier counts toward an upgrade.

Can I use Uptrace for free in production?

Yes. The free plan includes the core product. Paid plans unlock collaboration, security, and operational features.

What happens if I stop paying?

Your instance continues to run, but paid-only features become unavailable until you reactivate the license.

Do you offer discounts?

Yes. We can offer annual discounts, startup discounts, and open source pricing where it makes sense.

Still curious? Book a call with the team — we usually answer within a few hours.
